Hi all!

Okay, so to the right of this post is a new "gadget." That's a new thing for you to access to make things easier. So, now all you do is click "Fosburg Wish Lists" and you can access the gifts list that you can use for Christmas and birthdays. Isn't that neat?! I'll keep updating it regularly.

Now for something different. Our sweet kids went to their first dentist appt.! They did such a great job. Evie let the hygenist look at her teeth, brush them, clean them, and floss them, including even the flouridation! She even did x-rays. I was so surprised. It was such a big step for her. Our hygenist is amazing and she was so good about showing Eve all the tools and talking her through all the different parts of the exam. She did great and her smile is even more beautiful than it was before, if that's possible!

What's so great is that because Evie did such a great job, Joseph was perfectly at ease with the whole thing. He was so excited to lay down in the chair and even opened his mouth for everything she wanted to do. He let her count all his teeth, brush them, and polish them. He did such a great job. It was so fun to watch my little boy be such a big boy. I loved it and hated it at the same time. Isn't that terrible?

Lizzy was great, I know, who brings all three kids to one appt? Well, they told me to. She was great until she realized that no one was paying attention to her. Then of course, I had to pick her up and JC began slipping away. It was quite a handful. It worked out, but I'll be leaving one with a babysitter from now on.

Anyway, it was a day of firsts for Joseph and a good day for the girls. That's what happens when everyone is so little!

Pregnancy Update

Okay - so August was a good, but very long month, hence no blogging. Honestly, all spare time is spent sleeping if I can get it so blogging has dropped on my list of priorities. Now that I'm fully in my second trimester though I'm hoping that I'll get a bit more energy. I know - what does that mean?

Well, my first official dr's appt gave me the wrong number of weeks. For those of you counting, I'm actually only 16 wks this Tues, not the 18 or so I had originally thought. Really, I'm glad. That just made me look really stupid to not know for so long. Now, I'm only marginally wacky for not knowing until I was four months pregnant!

My next appt was good, but unproductive as a 10 min sonogram couldn't find the baby's heartbeat. So another ultrasound was scheduled. That appt was more productive than we had thought it might be. I took Evie this time so she could see the baby. With JC she was only 2 and with Lizzy she was a bit disinterested since she had a baby (and I mean baby) brother still sitting at home. This time she was super excited - more excited than I was! She loved getting to see the baby move and kick at the wand and loved the little nose we pointed out. She now asks to talk to the baby and has named the baby in "her tummy" every princess name she can think of. Seriously, her baby has about 10 names and she goes through them all!

Another exciting fact that some of you already know is that the baby's heartbeat was 161 bpm which says....absolutely nothing because of the two girls and one boy I have they all were in that same range. The over-productive part was that the ultrasound taker was having so much fun with Evie in the room that she took a look to see if we could tell the sex of the baby. It was 5 1/2 wks early so I wasn't planning on it, but we're having a....BOY!!!! I'm so excited. I'm finally getting what I want when I want it. With having a large family it was bound to happen eventually. I'm just glad we're having another boy. So far I like the name JAMES MATTHEW after the apostles of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Chris isn't on board with that yet. He wants some weird ones that I don't like, but we have until Feb. to agree, right? Feb. 13th to be exact.

That due date may put our Christmas plans on hold this year though. I have an appt coming up that I'll discuss it with my OB, but with my history of babies coming a bit early, it's totally possible she'll say no. Wish us luck!

Exciting News

Okay so we all know that our Fosburg family is preparing for our fourth wonderful child, but did you know when he/she will be making the debut?

Well according to a recent ultrasound, our newest little one is healthy and active and due on Feb. 13th, 2011. For those of you counting it out, yes, I was wrong, oh, so wrong. I'm not a mere 6-7 wks along. I am actually about 16-17 wks along! That makes me, for those of you who don't do weeks like me, at the last week of my fourth month. I begin month number five next week!

So yes, this is a surprise. All I can say is - that's how things go for this lady. I usually find out around the third month so this is one for the books. Apparently when you have them so close together, nothing really changes physically. Actually, this means that I was pregnant for Evie's fourth birthday in May and our very long trek across DC. In fact, I think if it weren't for DC making me so very tired we wouldn't have known even now!

After DC, I was so tired and I never quite felt like myself again. That's why we even took the home test. Can you imagine if we hadn't done something like that? We may still be wondering.
I do understand the laugh-ability of the situation at this point, but seriously I am so relieved. I really don't like being pregnant and it always seems to take so long. Now I'm almost halfway done! I love that!

So below are the pix from the ultrasound the very nice tech gave me on CD. I didn't actually get excited until I saw HIM? on the screen kicking for all he was worth. Just my luck, another high energy child! Loves!
