The night before!

Okay, so all day I was hoping to get here and catch us up with all that's been going on. Then, I ran into three very active children, nap time (which I never skip) and dinner time which we did out tonight so I didn't have to cook or do dishes.

Anyway, as of my ob this morning, I finally get to have my baby! She scheduled me for 8am tomorrow morning! I am so excited! Mostly just to not be pregnant anymore. I'm sure there are some women who love it, but after three full years of being pregnant/nursing, I can't wait for a break!

So here I sit, madly picking up (someone will be at our house watching the kids), doing laundry (so the kids have something to wear besides jammies while I'm gone), taking care of the bills (because seriously, who else is gonna do that one), organizing the taxes (we have an appt with the military tax people next week), and trying very hard not to freak out that in less than eight hours from now, I'll be more uncomfortable than I already am and on my way to meeting our newest addition.

It feels a little surreal, but wonderful too. Last week, my ob had promised that we would have a baby but pulled back when she discovered I wasn't as far along as she had anticipated. Needless to say, I was very upset and quite emotionally strung out. To wait 10 months and then be told that "oops, I was wrong - no way" is a really hard thing to swallow. So I took a few days, prayed a lot for patience and endurance, and finally got to this appt with a good attitude. It was the "whatever happens" attitude since everything was up in the air again.

I literally almost jumped off the table when she said I was close enough to induce. She asked about the next morning and it was all I could do not to ask if we could do it that afternoon! Thankfully, I had a little time tonight to take care of some things that would've fallen by the wayside once the baby came home. I like having my life organized a little bit at least. There's so much I can't control anyway that to have taken care of what I can, makes me less stressed about what I can't!!

So - I'm doing laundry and watching my honey play his video game. No need to pack - did that weeks ago!

Wish us luck! The next time I blog, I'll have a new little one in my home and some great pix to add besides the cute ones already on the way from the holidays!

Loves and thanks for all the support!!!
