Evie's First Ballet Recital

In December of last year (I know, I'm almost caught up!) Evie had the wonderful opportunity to perform in her first ballet recital.  Their piece was from the old Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer program that I watched when I was a kid.  Our kids watched it too!  The performance was their dance at the holiday festival in Swan Lake's outside showcase area.  It was soooo cute!

Evie was asked to dress up as a princess - I know, I'm sure it was really difficult for all the girls to find that kind of outfit.  I loved getting her ready.  It was actually quite exciting to get her there on time.  In Swan Lake are all the city's best light displays so the traffic is awful.  We had to get her there a bit early and we'd no idea where to go!  Not a good combination.  Anyway, she made it, we made it, and she did a great job!  Just watch!

I was so proud.  She was chilled as it was December, but it's December in South Carolina, so not too bad.
