Our Last Special Events in Sumter

CHUCK E. CHEESE PARTY!

So for those of you following the happenings in our home, we just had a baby, we are getting ready to move and still my wonderful kids completed their goal of memorizing all 13 Articles of Faith!  Eve and Joe did such a great job.  Since they did all the hard work, we went to the party.  We also billed it to our friends in town that it was a "going away" party too.  So we had some friends to come and help celebrate and the kids sure enjoyed it.

eating the candy - rewards for a massive number of tickets!

she LOVED this ride!  We found that all you had to do was bump it and it would go.  Normally, I would've put the money in anyway and I did - a TON of it!  After that, i just let her stay and we made it go for probably an hour or so!

VAUGHN'S BABY BLESSING

Troy Taylor, Curly Hunt, Chris and Vaughn Fosburg, Latham Harris

This same weekend we also had the special opportunity to bless our last baby in our Sumter Ward.  It is one of my favorite moments in my kids' life so far.  They dress in special outfits made by Grama Fosburg (I have one for a little girl and one for a little boy.) and we have the great blessing of asking special men to help welcome our newest child into the church.  I once looked up the purpose of blessing our children in church.  I learned that it is not only a blessing for the child, but for the ward (or congregation) too as it is an opportunity for us to demonstrate our faith in the Lord and in the members to help us in the ways that they can to raise our child with love and faith.  My boys are SO handsome!

That's an awesome tidbit about blessings I did not know that. I'm glad you're back to blogging I've been wondering how your family has been doing.
