Favorite Kind of Post

I love these posts when I get to just show you how fun and amazing it is to be a mom.  Lots of people let you know how hard it is to be a parent.  I know they just want you to make your decision carefully, it is a forever choice (especially in the LDS religion).  But I think moms and dads forget sometimes how much we laugh and learn and enjoy seeing with new eyes when we have kids.

Right now, I have four-soon to be five-little ones all at home.  It sounds pretty crazy and most of the time it is, but little achievements and growth moments keep reminding me that though I could help us get out of debt so quickly if I were working, the price really is just too high.  My kids need a mom at home who is dedicated to them: their learning, development and most importantly, their love.  Couldn't really ask for a better job.  I always wanted to be important, I just never thought being a mom was how to go about doing it.  Goodness, how wrong I was!

So, enjoy my little ones!  I sure do!

Joe learns to do his own seat belt!

For those of you with only one kid this might not seem that important, but with having so many to get belted every time I get in the car, having a second kid more self-sufficient is a mother's dream.  He was so giggly during the second picture I couldn't get him to actually click the belt!  It was a great big boy moment!

Then there's this moment.  How I love my digital camera with video recording!  All these great moments because my camera is close by and super user friendly!  Way to go Nikon and way to go mom for keeping the thing handy!  What moment am I discussing?  Watch the video, it's self explanatory.  Enjoy!

Next, you have my kids just being their silly selves.  Evie loves to hold Ally - though now that she's bigger these moments are a bit less cuddly, but she's such a great big sister and includes her siblings in just about everything!

Even sharing a toy to get a cuddle!

no, don't look, breakfast is not all over these jammies
- it's the way their made, right? Besides she doesn't care!

my handsome boy - always ready for a picture with a smile

Our next fun pictures are showing how proud our whole family is of Alexandra and Elizabeth.  This is Ally's first meal at the table with us in a booster instead of a high chair.  She did a great job.  She's not doing that regularly right now, but it has more to do with the fact that she likes to climb out of her chair and the booster belts weren't adequate for her strength of...of...we'll go with...will.  This is also the same day that Lizzy stopped using a booster!  It was a good day for my kids.

always a crowd pleaser as long as the crowd is under 10

Finally, in our accomplishments post, is our fabulous mall outing.  Now, malls have never been my thing.  I don't like shopping, I'm always worried about spending too much, and I hate the crowds and the fact that the whole mall ends up smelling like it's food court.  But, since I've had kids and rainy days at the same time, I have come to really look forward to a good mall.  The good ones have beautiful family restrooms with little potties for little tushies.  They also have high chairs in the food court which will automatically get a visit.  And of course, a good kid-friendly mall will have an indoor play place like this one.  Ever since we've had kids we have looked for these play places.  Not all malls have them and size of mall doesn't seem to correspond to availability.  The smallest mall I've ever been in had a great one and some of the biggest don't have them at all.  So, in Columbia, there is a great mall with all of the important characteristics, including a play place.  This was Ally's first time.  She did a great job playing on her own and making friends.  (I personally like all the padded seating and the requirement for parents to be present.)

And that's all for now folks!  Keep reading, you're doing great.  And thanks for all your support, comments, and encouragement!
